Christian Hutzler studies the rules and systems that guide how companies run, as well as how the application of laws can promote transparency and accountability in business. His research explores how corporate governance structures and regulatory enforcement affect firm behavior and decision-making, with a particular focus on the role of financial reporting. Hutzler’s work sheds light on the effectiveness of governance and regulation, and how they impact transparency, mitigate risks, and influence long-term value creation for shareholders.
After graduation, Hutzler’s career goal is to become an accounting professor at a top research institution.
