According to research by David Frisvold, addressing the problem in childhood is a key to fighting this public epidemic, including increasing physical activity and the consumption of nutritious foods. Frisvold studies the economic effectiveness of public policy initiatives aimed at reducing obesity in order to ensure that the policies are truly addressing the underlying causes of obesity.
