Sujin Jeong studies how multiple jobholders—people who hold more than one job at a time—navigate their careers and work lives. She examines whether employees’ disclosure or concealment of holding multiple jobs influences their mental load, work engagement, and burnout. Jeong’s research suggests that disclosure may help individuals boost work engagement, but it can also prevent them from focusing on one job at a time. Examining these costs and benefits can help multiple jobholders make an informed decision about disclosing their status in the workplace and help employers develop strategies to manage the cognitive resources of employees holding multiple jobs.

Jeong hopes to become a professor who contributes to making workplaces happier and healthier through teaching and research.
