Marie Krebs is currently working with two community organizations, Meskwaki Nation Family Services and Four Oaks, to develop training to assist non-Indigenous foster parents and agency staff in better engaging with the cultural and historical impacts of caring for Indigenous children. She also researches legislative trends impacting diversity and inclusion across the country and how these new laws could potentially affect the curriculum of social work programs at colleges and universities.

After graduation, Krebs plans to become a licensed therapist specializing in care for Indigenous people and other diverse groups.
