Waiting for biopsy results adds to mental anguish and may delay prompt treatment. Research breakthroughs discovered in Michael Henry’s lab in 2012 have the potential for a more rapid way to prepare and process biopsy tissues, cutting time and lab costs. In January 2016, Henry and his UI-faculty collaborators incorporated the Iowa-based startup SynderBio to further develop this technology to benefit researchers, clinicians, pathologists, and patients.
