She has spent decades studying where creative genius comes from, whether it is dependent on high IQ, and why it is often accompanied by mental illness, particularly schizophrenia. Through brain scans and personal interviews, she has studied creative thinkers in both the arts and sciences to learn what is different about them. Her discoveries show that creative people are more likely to make associations that others don’t see.
